and in your eyes, I see the missing pieces I'm searching for.

ELDDS camp was fun, super duper fun and extremely fun to the maximum! :) we took lots of photos but they're all with miss tang, so i'd only post the pictures when i received 'em. and though it's only a two days one night camp, my energy was totally drained out, seriously! drats i feel like just copying doreen's post and pasting here. okay but i won't do that, i'll blog everything out sincerely. :)

day one
i woke up at 8.20am 'cause we were required to reach school at 9am. and i slept at 4.30am or so. yeah you can imagine how worn out i was. after placing our bags and stuffs, we gathered at the spin room for ice breaker games. the first game was to help us know the names of our juniors and vice versa. and gosh, i've realised that many of 'em are ignorant of the right way to pronounce my name, including some of the seniors! how sad is that huh! the funniest pronunciations were from the juniors. words like " uh-mee-la ", " uh-mee-lee-uh " or " air-mee-la ".
my name is pronounced as " air-mee-lee-uh ", not the other funny and weird ones. but as time passed by, they still could not pronounce it well, so i just answered them the same regardless of what funny names i was given. the second game was inspired from the taiwan tv show, called jacky-go-go-go. it was darn fun though! :)

miss tang conducted a workshop after that, basically just talking, voicing out our opinions and stuffs. we were also divided into groups. my group was called " The Smart Egg Yolks! " :) we racked our brains hard for names because we could only use the letters from the word, T E A M. yeah this whole camp was all about teamwork, that explains why. doreen was the facilitator for our group and she helped us look for words beginning with the letter E, using her handphone's dictionary. then she randomly said eggshells, and i wanted to choose use it but hong wei was telling me that egg shells are fragile, so in the end, we used eggyolk.

for the cheer, we used the spongebob squarepant theme song's tune. so the lyrics were, " Who is the greatest among all the teams? The smart Egg yolks! United, smart and brilliant they are. The smart Egg yolks! Spreading racial harmony across the whole club. The smart Egg yolks! The smart egg yolks, the smart egg yolks, the smart .. egg yolks. "

yeah just like that, but we didn't get to use it in the end 'cause i think miss tang forgotten all about it. then it was lunch, or was lunch before this? haha okay it doesn't matter. the main point is, it was the most delicious packed lunch i've ever eaten during school camps, like what doreen said. honestly speaking, the other packed lunches provided during school camp, sucked. the amazing race was next, we ran alot like mad all over. from school, we ran to limbang, then to back to school, and to limbang, and to school again. i think they purposely wanted us to feel exhausted huh! :) but it was darn fun, it has been the best amazing race i've ever played before. credits to doreen, guan yeow and weisheng! :)

for dinner, we had to settle it on our own.
we were given $10 per group and we had to go to limbang to buy our own ingredients and then cook. it's part of the bonding activities though. our group cooked spaghetti and we threw almost half of it away. not because it was yucky or anything, it's simply because it's too much. the other groups cooked food like pizza, pasta and toast. oh, our food also had to be related to our group name, as a result, we placed egg yolks in the center of our spaghetti. i'm feeling tired now, okay random.

yeah then we went to bathe and the toilets are cleaner than the past camps. :D during the meeting at the spin room, i doodled alot on my paper 'cause i can't really keep still. and finally we had milo while we discussed about our skits in our individual groups. discussion was all the way till 11.30pm, and the group leaders had a meeting in the staffroom 'cause we had to tell miss tang our rough story. my group was the 7th group, so i fell asleep while the previous group leaders were telling miss tang their story. but they kept reminding me not to fall asleep. finally after washing up and stuffs, we went to sleep at 12.30am or so. and deborah, shufen and i crapped so much that we only slept at 1.30am. okay, i feel guilty! i fell asleep while the group leaders were having a meeting with miss tang, but i managed to stay awake while crapping. but we really had so much fun crapping, i just couldn't resist it! :) day one ended, finally!

day two.
deborah was the first to wake up, and she woke doreen, shufen and i up at 7am. oh wait, poor doreen, guan yeow, weisheng and miss tang were preparing a surprise for us, so they only slept at 4am. doreen was dead tired, i know that. so when deborah woke us up, shufen and i told her we only needed to be ready by 8. and after mumbling some stuffs, we went back to sleep. when we woke up the second time, we've realised that we were the last to wash up. packed up everything and we went to the home economics room for breakfast. breakfast was prepared by our dear sec 4 seniors and we really need to thank them! :)

further discussion and rehearsal was after breakfast, and by 10.30am, we've got to show miss tang our skits. we had alot of fun laughing out loud, and i really mean loudddd, during the presentations, due to the humour added. then after teatime and thoughts about the camp, there was a slide show by doreen, guan yeow and weisheng. yeah this was the surprise they stayed up till 4am to prepare. it was really really sweet! :) lastly, they annouced the winners of the amazing race, had some briefings and and announcements, and we were dismissed. it's so sad that it's only a two days one night camp, because of the busy schedule. ): and though it's only a two days one night camp, i am so exhausted that it feels like the camp is a four days three nights one.

i wanna thank doreen, the camp head. the assistants, guan yeow and weisheng. all the facilitators, the teachers, the juniors, the seniors, and everyone. the camp wouldn't have been that fun and enriching if it wasn't the help and contribution of you guys. oh and thanks to miss fazlin for bringing her super duper ultra cute daughter, afifah, who seriously entertained us alot! :) and and, i wanna thank suren for letting me play with his super ultra short hair, vicky for scaring me like nuts, jean le for playing such a lame scissors-paper-stone game with me, izzaty for teaching me that even without putting conditioner, your hair can also be damn soft, cang ning for giving me good night kisses, liying for being so cheerful and influencing us, my group members, doreen, valerie, and hongwei ( although sometimes i mistake him for yong kang ) for being such a great group, shufen for crapping with me, deborah for crapping with me too and feeding me her group's food, audrey for her care, concern, love and company, warah for her bubbly attitude, quraisya for lending me her phone to sms and call fbd, yongkian for laughing out loud with me, hwaiyi for making me smile, asyiqin for joking with me, juniors for making the camp so lively and all. also bestfriend for missing me and zhu for telling me that he'll miss me. i think everyone's gonna fall asleep after reading this. one last one, i must definitely thank fbd for lending me her sleeping bag, if not for her sleeping bag, i'd have slept on the floors or something. okay i shall stop here. current mood: happy yet DAMN EXHAUSTED! :)
